Its far more difficult to repair software errors on a computer because there are upwards of 20,000 files on your computer at any time, any of which can be damaged, corrupted or simply missing. In extreme circumstances. Its far more cost effective to simply wipe the hard drive and rebuild it from scratch rather than try to repair the software.
